The FluVue Rapid Early Detection (RED) kit

With FluVue we have developed a simple influenza virus detection system that quickly isolates the targeted Flu virus strain. Our test kit can readily identify several common types of influenza within minutes and isolate its host from further human to human contamination. FluVue, is currently being tested at selected international airports around the world.

Agromicron, Ltd believes that the use of molecular diagnostics as a first step in screening potential high-risk flu virus carriers would have enabled international efforts to better coordinate public health responses to a possible outbreak. FluVue is specifically designed to detect a targeted flu virus and could be implemented as a front line detection method throughout all international airports.

"Doctors don't have the right tools to make a quick diagnosis of drug resistant TB, or, for that matter, bird flu virus or SARS or Anthrax," said Dr. Thomas Inglesby at the Center for Bio Security at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. "This is a fixable problem and we should fix it."
